This adventurer will ride 9,000 km through Asia for a good cause. On a kick bike

Marek Jelínek rides on a kick bike through Asia. He wants to raise some cash for the poorest children in Bangladesh

The state of Bangladesh is known by most of us mainly from garment tags on clothing that is produced here in large. Cheap labor costs attract clothing corporations from all around the world. The downside of this is the very low standard of living of local people. Small children have to go to work here too. Their parents have no money to afford a proper schooling for them.

This is the situation that Marek Jelinek, Czech adventurer and kick bike rider, wants to change. He decided to ride the incredible 9,000 km journey from New Delhi to Singapore. In the middle of this challenging journey lies Bangladesh - and several schools supported by a Czech charity ADRA.

It is ADRA that Marek would like to support by means of his ride. That's why he will not only visit five of the schools that ARDA is managing there, but he has devised one special challenge - the Grand Race.

Big race for big money

The goal of the Grand Race is to balance Mark's mileage with cash at a rate of 1 km = 100 CZK (100 Czech Koruna is approx. 5 USD). Everyone can contribute. Money will be used to pay for lunch and health care for children, for teachers' salaries or for running and maintaining the school premises. The best thing about this race is that no one is going to lose.

Donations will pay back, for example, in the form of a kick bike

No one who donates money to charity probably expects it to pay back. But in this case it does. When donating, you are also participating in a competition for various, highly interesting prizes. The main prize is a fancy red kick bike!

Follow Marek's route

Marek's ride is exactly the kind of activity that our Czech partners, GPS Dozor, want to support. So they provided him with Satelon infrastructure: a reliable GPS tracker and tracking platform.

At this very moment, you can watch Mark's route on the online map. Just take a look here: http://www.dobrobezka.cz/.
