Who’s behind the wheel? With our driver monitoring, you always know

Sometimes you need more from a vehicle monitoring platform than just checking on the vehicles. You also want to identify the drivers. Satelon has it covered at no extra fees.

Drivers’ ID on a card or a chip

Our retail customers can use our driver ID service for free. It is already implemented in the GPS vehicle monitoring platform you are using.

The only thing that must be done is upgrading your hardware. We will install ID readers in your vehicles and issue RFID cards or Dallas chips for your drivers.

When all is set, your vehicles will automatically identify the drivers (the best way is to carry the chip or card with their car keys). Every trip will be recorded in the log book and filed under the driver’s name.

Different drivers, different purpose

Many companies let their employees to use the company cars for private purposes. In that case, there is a need to differentiate business and private trips and keeping this kind of information in the log book.

This is no problem with us. We can add a switch to every car, where the driver would identify the trip purpose.

But there’s more to life than just business and private purpose. You can pre-set many purposes for your trips, so you can keep and analyse precise information about your fleet. For example, you can identify foreign trips, service check-ups, commuting, visiting a client etc.

More drivers than vehicles? No problem

Once you have the driver ID reader in the vehicle, you can store as many drivers in the Satelon platform as you want – it will cost you nothing.

When there are many drivers in your company, you may think about creating specialized reports about their activities. These can provide great data for wages and premiums.

You can also track and analyse each driver’s driving style. Satelon vehicle monitoring stores detailed data which can identify inefficient driving or speeding of your drivers, not to mention fuel consumption.
